Putnam Park Pro – Dan Clarke Instructing at Torqued Racing’s Putnam Park Events in 2012!

Indianapolis is one of the most magical locations in the Motor Racing World. And it’s been my second home for almost 6years now. I first came here in 2006 and competed in the Champ Car World Series battling with Will Power for the Rookie of the Year title. A podium in Denver and winning the first Pole Position for a rookie since 2003 are amongst my highlights from that year.

Since then I’ve competed in an array of Championships and vehicles: seeing out the Champ Car Series to its end in 2008; the call from the A1GP Series, in 2009, inviting me to drive the GBR car and represent my nation; and back across the pond for the Indy Lights series in the US with Derrick Walker where we enjoyed podium finishes together despite an under-funded operation and no testing.

2011 presented me with a different flavour, jumping into Porsches and BMWs in Endurance races and I found a new joy in passing on my skills to my teammates and clients in different forms of Sports car racing. Putnam Park became a frequent “stomping ground” for me as different schools called to use my services to treat their track day clients to the fundamentals and techniques of professional car handling. All this provides me with a lot of pleasure on the side as my own racing career looks towards NASCAR racing and the world of Stock cars and ovals.

Now I’m considered a “Putnam Park Pro” I urge you to make a trip down with Torqued Racing in either May or September. Come experience the expert driving techniques I’ve coached so many with and have taken me from small town club racing in England to the height of the American Open Wheel World. I guarantee it will blow your mind and you will leave a new and improved driver whatever your choice of machinery may be.

Safe and fulfilling driving!

Dan Clarke
